Week 5 EOC: Social Networks and Job Hunting

Technology is a huge part of our lives and everyday we use it more and more. It gets more and more advanced and we continue to look forward to the new, latest and greatest device. But now what seems to be more effective way to get your application through to your future employer is to simply put an application in through online. Nowadays there's even huge companies such as Monster and LinkedIn that are a fast track and taking over the old fashioned going to the location and applying in person. So these job interviews are being taken digitally and it's impressive how now the applications are being received.

These job recruits are trying to such as Monster are trying to utilize Facebook and it is a brilliant marketing strategy. It is crucial for these companies to use Facebook because it is an easy way to make more money. Facebook even will know what sites the user goes on and will see if the user has been using Monster or any job ads and from there it will place ads for jobs.

EOC 4: Cult of Apple

The app I came up with is something to keep track of anything makeup relatable. It's something that can be used to keep images and texts, almost like a digital journal. But this will be able to add products on lists like "do not buy again" "repurchase" "loves" etc. And the way the app will be designed is a pretty vanity mirror with little products actually on the vanity mirror and you can tap on and you can be able to add your own little description of the product and rate it. I would name it something like, "my makeup vanity" or "my makeup station." And the use is able to put all these little makeups on the table and can move it around and can even put it in little drawers. The makeup vanity can be as neat or as messy as one wants. But there would be a limit of how many things you can keep. These app would be free, but it would have ads and of course in store purchases. Some of the in store purchases can be something to boost up the number of makeups you can hold on a table. The app would most likely come with the basic mascara bottle drawing but the use would be able to tap on it and they can add current or favorite mascara, so they can name it after Dior or Too Faced Mascara.

It's just a cute little app that lets you play with makeup virtually and being able to decorate your own makeup station the way you want if you could. It’s something that would be available for free in the iTunes app store and Google Play store. The market would be more for the beauty addicts and people who love cutesy little things.

Week 3 EOC: My Demographics

I am millennial because I was born in 1993. I completely believe I fit into this category. The characteristics are actually based on that we are self indulged, lazy, tech savvy, multi-taskers, and connected. We are standing in line right now for the iPhone 7! It is crazy how true this is about us. Guess it comes with the territory because these things are very much true. I never even knew that these generations had characteristics so I found it quite interesting. And at first I didn't believe it, I assumed it was something that is like zodiac signs.

Millennials also want instant gratification, balance, flexibility, career advancement and a transparent set of mind. I can easily say this is me to a tee. When I first was reading about it I thought I was reading a biography, but it was actually just description of the characteristics of people who are born in the millennials.

Every generation and is different and brings something new to the table. So with that being said millennials aren't that bad at all! This is all useful to implement all these characteristics into the workforce. But all in all we want the next best thing and we are hard core social network fans. We find one thing relevant and the next minute it's old news. It also turns out we are not as subtle as we like to be meaning we are not going to tip toe around the point. I really found this article precise especially with a title like "me me me generation" I never have read anything so accurate!

Week 3 EOC: Making Money for Good

The World Wild Life organization is a non profit organization. I decided to choose them because I have an everlasting love for animals. I believe that animals are like humans and I take them very seriously. They are not able to defend themselves easily as humans can and I think they should have the same rights. I actually hold this charity near and dear to my heart because it is something that I believe in.  I just sympathize more towards animals for some reason or other.

The purpose of the World Wild Life charity is to of course support the animals. They support the animals by funding to protect wild life needs. This is one of the world's leading conservation organization. They work globally to provide for the needs of these animals. One of their top partners is Coca Cola.

Another thing they do is actually provide fresh water for the people and animals! They do their best by trying to bring solar panels into the mix, this also includes reducing emissions. They also want to ensure that they can spread the word of climate change. This charity is really mostly about give back to the animals and then also some to humans.

“People look to WWF and its leadership to bring imagination and perseverance to the important work of conservation, and to build bridges between government, civil society and business in devising solutions at the scale of the challenges we face. The world demands no less of us."
