Week 9 EOC: The Narrative

We searched high and low for some of the world's purest water to create a even purer new way of experiencing vodka. We collect spring water from a spring that runs through a 4,000 year old lava field. This is key in our vodka production because the lava rocks can filter the water. The vodka is extremely clear and practically shines through the glass bottle. It is going to give a sense of satisfaction. It is a small batch vodka that was handcrafted in Hawaii and is sold to small supportive businesses. With the flavors of pineapple and even a delightful volcanic fusion this vodka is surely to light a fire inside.

Week 8 EOC: Creative Content

For my creative content I am going to be doing a photoshop bulletin board of the vodka. It is going to create a eloquent sense of satisfaction. The bulletin will be placed on a freeway. The bulletin board is going to have one side being this cool, refreshing breath of air that you would typically find in Hawaii and the other side is going to be this more steamy volcano vibe. But for the most part the  most the poster is going to be sophisticated and mature because that is the type of audience I am going for. I want the website to portray the fact that it definitely will provide a sense of being on vacation even if you're working in New York and run a million dollar company. The poster is suppose to make you feel different as opposed to going on another vodka bulletin board. I might even add a photoshop of advertisement in stores  or a bulletin board done in a very modern manner that talks about getting a vacation experience with this vodka.  All of the creative content will be shown.

Week 7 EOC: The Pitch

My amazing vodka would be based off using volcanic water in Hawaii. The target is mostly going to be for a more mature audience that have like luxury and can afford it. It is going to have a refined taste with added crystals and will go down smooth. The packaging is going to be a skinny glass bottle with a cap made of gold so this bottle can easily cost up to $60. It is going to be called "Lava Vodka" or "Lava" when poured over ice it has an refreshing taste and then while served as is it's steamy.  For something that is based off in Hawaii I feel like the word definitely would own up to par.

We would promote this by getting a famous youtuber to talk about it. Maybe even make a funny commercial about it on YouTube to get some buzz going. And then from there make our own YouTube and Twitter, mostly spreading the word on social media. This product would be made in Hawaii and only sold in Hawaii until the business becomes more stable and then from there it will grow and become a more world wide thing.

Week 5 EOC: Social Networks and Job Hunting

Technology is a huge part of our lives and everyday we use it more and more. It gets more and more advanced and we continue to look forward to the new, latest and greatest device. But now what seems to be more effective way to get your application through to your future employer is to simply put an application in through online. Nowadays there's even huge companies such as Monster and LinkedIn that are a fast track and taking over the old fashioned going to the location and applying in person. So these job interviews are being taken digitally and it's impressive how now the applications are being received.

These job recruits are trying to such as Monster are trying to utilize Facebook and it is a brilliant marketing strategy. It is crucial for these companies to use Facebook because it is an easy way to make more money. Facebook even will know what sites the user goes on and will see if the user has been using Monster or any job ads and from there it will place ads for jobs.

EOC 4: Cult of Apple

The app I came up with is something to keep track of anything makeup relatable. It's something that can be used to keep images and texts, almost like a digital journal. But this will be able to add products on lists like "do not buy again" "repurchase" "loves" etc. And the way the app will be designed is a pretty vanity mirror with little products actually on the vanity mirror and you can tap on and you can be able to add your own little description of the product and rate it. I would name it something like, "my makeup vanity" or "my makeup station." And the use is able to put all these little makeups on the table and can move it around and can even put it in little drawers. The makeup vanity can be as neat or as messy as one wants. But there would be a limit of how many things you can keep. These app would be free, but it would have ads and of course in store purchases. Some of the in store purchases can be something to boost up the number of makeups you can hold on a table. The app would most likely come with the basic mascara bottle drawing but the use would be able to tap on it and they can add current or favorite mascara, so they can name it after Dior or Too Faced Mascara.

It's just a cute little app that lets you play with makeup virtually and being able to decorate your own makeup station the way you want if you could. It’s something that would be available for free in the iTunes app store and Google Play store. The market would be more for the beauty addicts and people who love cutesy little things.

Week 3 EOC: My Demographics

I am millennial because I was born in 1993. I completely believe I fit into this category. The characteristics are actually based on that we are self indulged, lazy, tech savvy, multi-taskers, and connected. We are standing in line right now for the iPhone 7! It is crazy how true this is about us. Guess it comes with the territory because these things are very much true. I never even knew that these generations had characteristics so I found it quite interesting. And at first I didn't believe it, I assumed it was something that is like zodiac signs.

Millennials also want instant gratification, balance, flexibility, career advancement and a transparent set of mind. I can easily say this is me to a tee. When I first was reading about it I thought I was reading a biography, but it was actually just description of the characteristics of people who are born in the millennials.

Every generation and is different and brings something new to the table. So with that being said millennials aren't that bad at all! This is all useful to implement all these characteristics into the workforce. But all in all we want the next best thing and we are hard core social network fans. We find one thing relevant and the next minute it's old news. It also turns out we are not as subtle as we like to be meaning we are not going to tip toe around the point. I really found this article precise especially with a title like "me me me generation" I never have read anything so accurate!

Week 3 EOC: Making Money for Good

The World Wild Life organization is a non profit organization. I decided to choose them because I have an everlasting love for animals. I believe that animals are like humans and I take them very seriously. They are not able to defend themselves easily as humans can and I think they should have the same rights. I actually hold this charity near and dear to my heart because it is something that I believe in.  I just sympathize more towards animals for some reason or other.

The purpose of the World Wild Life charity is to of course support the animals. They support the animals by funding to protect wild life needs. This is one of the world's leading conservation organization. They work globally to provide for the needs of these animals. One of their top partners is Coca Cola.

Another thing they do is actually provide fresh water for the people and animals! They do their best by trying to bring solar panels into the mix, this also includes reducing emissions. They also want to ensure that they can spread the word of climate change. This charity is really mostly about give back to the animals and then also some to humans.

“People look to WWF and its leadership to bring imagination and perseverance to the important work of conservation, and to build bridges between government, civil society and business in devising solutions at the scale of the challenges we face. The world demands no less of us."

Week 2 EOC: Boston Consulting Group - Video Games

In the BCG Growth share matrix, Xbox console is in the cash cow. Nintendo Wii is in dog. Mobile is in the star. And the question mark has the video games such as ones played on a tv screen using Apple Tv.

Gamers actually have a struggle deciding which console to go for. Whether it be Microsoft or Sony or even Nintendo. All these companies have their ups and downs. But as most the struggle for me was actually choosing between Playstation or Xbox. According to CNET "this is an actual real issue for gamers. What people care about mostly is the experience." http://www.cnet.com/news/is-the-video-game-industry-recession-proof/ Now while the games and consoles are exclusive it is important to view all the options.

"And while Baker suggested that Nintendo and Microsoft may be able to continue moving the Wii and the Xbox, respectively due to those consoles' low prices ($249 for the Wii and $199 for the lowest''-
http://www.cnet.com/news/xbox-one-vs-ps4-how-to-choose-the-best-game-console-for-you/priced Xbox), he said Sony might have a harder time. Trying to find a perfect accommodate for something that you want to use on a day to day basis. So naturally of course gamers are going to have a hard time picking a console, it's like buying a house or a car. This is something we do not take lightly. All the while of course these companies are still making money it doesn't mean they'll never be in a recession.

Price cuts also play a factor in this. The price cuts have a lot to do with this because they can make or break a company.  Also according to Economist, "There was a drop in the video game recession in 2009 and that took a big hit." http://www.economist.com/node/15773828 It also is something that depends widely on the country. America did the worst followed up by Europe and then Japan. There's many things can change the market around. All these factors eventually lead to one thing and that is success.

Week 1 EOC: My Voice

I'm a full time student and a full time employee. I'm also an avid Starbucks drinker. I started out wanting to be a pharmacist until I realized I would rather draw on the prescription bottles rather than fill them. I enjoy drawing on my spare time. I always doodle things that inspire me and I use that as motivation. I am all about investing myself into something that makes me happy. I invest myself completely in my work and do the hardest I can to ensure that it is close to perfect. I have a huge passion in my work and I dedicate hard work to it because it is something that makes me truly happy. I have been designing since I was 5 years old! Yes! I count finger painting as designing! There is nothing like listening to music and drawing my life away. It keeps me sane and I find it to be very therapeutic. Any creative makes me feel at ease. I appreciate anything with an artistic touch because without art there would be nothing! I love when people put their thoughts and creativity into something. Nothing makes me more happy than seeing someone be passionate about something that they absolutely love. And I believe I love seeing it in others is because I love being able to be the same way. I really anticipate the future and I look forward to creating wonderful things.

Week 1 EOC: Great Customer Service

At the time I was comparing prices from every stores for the perfect Keurig Coffee Maker, so I finally just decided to give in and go to Walmart. I searched and searched all around the store until I found the aisle with the coffee machines and I decided to go with one of the elite models which I also ended up getting priced matched. So when I got home I was so excited to try out my new coffee machine! Of course, when I opened it up it ended up being a rock wrapped in bubblewrap! I was terrified to go back to Walmart and having them think it was a joke. I finally built up the courage and went to their customer service and explained to them that I thought I had purchased a wonderful coffee maker which was actually just a rock. And I was so concerned and I waited for the employee to say something, but I think she was in shock because she blankly stared at me and didn't what to say. So the employee ended up calling the manager and they said that someone probably returned this product, but they didn't end up checking it. And they were more than happy to let me exchange it for the actual coffee machine. And they even went to go get it for me and I of course had to open it in front of them to make sure that it was in fact the coffee machine this time.

"Marketing occurs when people decide to satisfy needs and wants through exchange relationships."(Marketing:An Introduction) Walmart has really good customer service for the most part, but I really felt like they went above and beyond on this case. And they gave me absolutely no trouble or grief which I really appreciated and will most likely shop there again.
